On the front page of The Sun we have the masthead which is bright red and with bold white writing. Also next to the masthead there is a display advert for a free loaf of bread which attract the lower class readers because it is food which they use everyday.
We only have one main story on our front page and it has the headline of "White Van Man can land two grand by canning van" We then hav e a simple 17 lines which lures the reader in. This story is then contuinued on pages 6 & 7. Because there is no more other stories we have pictures that lure the reader in to buy the newspaper. For example there is a picture of Susan Boyle with the sub headline "BET SU LOOK GOOD ON THE DANCEFLOOR" this then lures the reader in to read page 5. Then to attract our male readers we have a lure on the football "The gr8est game since... last week!"
It focuses on a main story and pushes the celebrity and football stories to the side this allows to show a more serious matter first but still lures the reader in so that they buy the newspaper.

There are indications that this newspaper is trying to appeal to a more wider audience such as women and more younger readers. This is suggested by more celebrity related topics which drag in more female readers but also younger readers as they are intersted in celebrities and sport and The Sun provides both these topics.
